Optical science would force us to only classify the color pink simply as minus green, pink exists in a gap in the color wheel. A space that is occupied by gamma and radio rays, among other unseeable things. Pink is really only the absence of green and we technically shouldn't be able to see it. Left out of the visible spectrum and neither a particle nor a wave, our eyes miraculously invent pink to fill the gap. As a collage artist I approach my artworks in a painterly manner. I wished to examine the schism of these two very conflicting colors and collage as many greens and pinks as possible. During this process I was able to see the merger of color invented by my mind and hands alike. This exploration helped me to consider concepts on "nature" and ways of seeing. The abstract result is what I titled "Artificial Authenticity" Order the book here : http://www.blurb.com/b/7355151-collage-collective-co-green
